`

Jimbaran, July 5, 2025 – To commemorate the anniversary of the Environmental Engineering Study Program at Udayana University, students and lecturers conducted a community service activity themed "Sarana Samaya" by building a modern teba on Saturday, July 5, 2025, located at the Civil Engineering Campus, Jimbaran.

This activity serves as a pilot project for a waste management system based on Balinese local wisdom, inspired by the traditional teba concept – a household space traditionally used for domestic activities and natural waste processing. The team introduced a modern composting method while maintaining harmony with cultural values.

In addition to constructing the teba, the event also included a campus clean-up involving proper organic and inorganic waste separation. This initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness among the academic community and to promote a more structured and modern waste management practice.Through this event, students are expected to understand the modern teba not only as an educational facility but also as a practical model for implementing sustainable environmental management.
