Environmental Engineering Student Association of Udayana University Wins Award at Abdi Daya Ormawa 2024 University General
In a proud achievement, the Environmental Engineering Student Association (HMTL) of Udayana University has secured the 4th Best Award in the Best Sustainability Organization category at the prestigious Abdi Daya Ormawa 2024 event. This accomplishment highlights HMTL's dedication to creating impactful and sustainable programs for the community.
This renowned event is the culmination of the 2024 Organizational Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa), featuring participation from more than 160 student organizations across Indonesia. The competition evaluates the contributions of student organizations in implementing socially impactful and sustainable projects.
HMTL’s success stems from their innovative program in Saba Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. With the theme Digital Waste Management House, the project integrates technology with waste management to provide practical and modern solutions. The initiative involved educating the local community and implementing digital-based waste management systems that promote environmental sustainability.
Rai, the 2024 Chairperson of HMTL, expressed his deep appreciation for this achievement. “This success is the result of hard work from all parties, including the university, Faculty of Engineering, Environmental Engineering Study Program, the student organization, and most importantly, the 2024 PPK Ormawa HMTL implementation team, who have worked tirelessly,”.
This achievement not only brings pride to HMTL but also to Udayana University as a whole. Competing among 160 other organizations, HMTL has demonstrated its capability and commitment to driving positive change through environmental innovation.
