Community Service in Penarungan Village, Badung Regency University General

              The Academic Community of the Environmental Engineering Study Programme together with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) held a community service activity as a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education conducted in Penarungan Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The service was carried out in the form of research on drinking water sources commonly used by the local community with reference to drinking water testing parameters based on Permenkes No 492 of 2010. The purpose of this service is to analyse the quality and quantity of water sources, determine the water source utilization system in Penarungan Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali and also benefit the local village community.




                    Drinking water sampling activities began with observation of sampling points carried out on Saturday, 22 April 2023 then the activity continued with sampling carried out on Sunday, 14 May 2023 by taking samples at 3 points or 3 water sources, namely point 1: pancoran solas taman beji, point 2: rice fields of penarungan village and point 3: taman beji temple. The sampling activity was attended by the Coordinator of the Study Programme, Lecturers, Labors and several Environmental Engineering Study Programme Students. Sampling was carried out at 3 points of spring water sources and also testing water quality parameters directly in the field, namely testing pH, temperature, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), turbidity and other physical parameters such as odour and taste. After the sampling activities, testing of 26 quality standard parameters was conducted at the Environmental Quality Laboratory, ARL Building.

 





        The output of this service and research conducted in Penarungan Village is the hope that it can provide recommendations or input regarding the water source utilisation system to stakeholders and the community in Penarungan Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali. In addition, the results of this service and research can be used as scientific articles that describe water quality and water source utilisation systems in Penarungan Village.
